The Gospel of Paradise

The Gospel Of Paradise

Readings – Ephesians 2:8-10

[Genesis 2:8-9]  The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.  9And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

[2 Corinthians 12:3-4] And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— 4how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

[Revelation 2:7] “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”’

[Luke 16:19-31] “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.  20But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,  21desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.  22So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.  23And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24“Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’  25But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.  26And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ 27“Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house,  28for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’  29Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’  30And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’  31But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

[2 Corinthians 5:8] We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

[Philippians 1:21-23] For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.  22But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.  23 For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

[Revelation 7:14-17] … “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.  15Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.  16They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;  17for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

[2 Peter 3:10-13] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.  11Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,  12looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?  13Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

[Revelation 3:12] He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

[Revelation 21:1-2, 10, 22-23] Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.  2Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband… 10And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God… 22But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.  23The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

[Revelation 22:1-5] And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.  2In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.  3And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.  4They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.  5There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

[Revelation 22:12-17] “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.  13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” 14Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.  15But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. 16“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” 17And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

[Luke 6:46] “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?

[John 14:15, 2 1] “If you love Me, keep My commandments… 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

[Matthew 7:21-23] “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  22Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’  23And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

[Revelation 2:10] Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
